What would you do if you knew that, should you speak up, you will be severely punished?? Would you speak up if you thought you might be mocked or socially rejected? The authorities of Jerusalem told Peter and the disciples to stop speaking publicly about Jesus. Peter disobeys the governing edict and returns to speak in public about what he is convinced is truth from God.
