Happy Thanksgiving with a Green Bean Casserole! ? Surviving ...

by Kimberly on November 22, 2012

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family?.Jennie and I are SO thankful for you, our readers, friends and supporters. :) We hope you have a wonderful day today with your family!

We will be heading over to my parents today to spend the day with family and RELAX. My dad has gotten a smoked turkey this year which is a little different for us so that should be interesting. I also made my mom get a regular turkey to roast because I?m all about tradition (and drive most of my family crazy about it).

Speaking of tradition, I offered to make and bring a green bean casserole today. The only problem is that I HATE the traditional recipe of gbc. I can?t stand the cream of mushroom soup and soggy canned green beans. So this year, I have been on a mission to find a home made recipe that is delicious and will give us the same flavors as the original green bean casserole recipe.

I found The Best Ever Green Bean Casserole recipe and gave it a shot and although I did made a few changes and added Wildtree?s Rancher Steak Rub to it (I add this to everything savory that I cook?literally.) the taste test was so far a success! I also made it with Onion Crunch for the topping and it is SO yummy, definitely a must try recipe! LOEB?S ONION CRUNCH? is a crispy, fried onion topping made from onions that are naturally low in carbs, low in sodium with no cholesterol and 0 grams of trans fat. Made from 100% real onions they are a great addition to your favorite foods and recipes! If you haven?t tried Onion Crunch before, you should definitely give them a try?I am hooked!
